We are not serving God in vain. We are
hopeful! A special reward awaits all those who serve God with sincerity and
patience. In his second letter St. Peter declares, "Beloved: Wait for and
hasten the coming of the day of God, because of which the heavens will be
kindled and dissolved, and the elements will melt with fire! But according to
his promise we wait for new heavens and a new earth in which righteousness
dwells." (2 Peter 3:12-15a, 17-18) A new heaven and a new earth is
the special reward for all those who serve God in faithfulness and
steadfastness. Child of God, do you know that you are a heavenly citizen? As long as you are working for the Most High God,
you will not labour in vain. The Lord God will surely reward you with a new
heaven and a new earth. And it shall be well with you in Jesus name - Amen!
