YOU ARE SAVED BY GRACE

Grace is unmerited favour. It is a free gift of God. Our God is a gracious God. He is slow to anger and rich in mercy. In his letter to the Ephesians 2:1-10 St. Paul wrote, "Among these we all once lived in the passions of our flesh, following the desires of body and mind, and so we were by nature children of wrath, like the rest of mankind. But God, who is rich in mercy, out of the great love with which he loved us, even when we were dead through our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved), and raised us up with him, and made us sit with him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, that in the coming ages he might show the immeasurable riches of his grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus. For by grace you have been saved through faith; and this is not your own doing, it is the gift of God—not because of works, lest any man should boast." Our salvation is not meritorious it is rather gratuitous. God saved us even when we were still sinners. Child of God, from today the Lord will be gracious to you.  He will raise you up and He will surely save you. And it shall be well with you in Jesus name - Amen!

You are Sealed with the Holy Spirit

The Holy Spirit is the essence of our being. We cannot do without the Holy Spirit. Our Lord Jesus Christ was anointed by the Holy Spirit. His ministry was sealed with the Holy Spirit. That is why He succeeded. In his letter to the Ephesians 1:11-14, St. Paul wrote, "Brethren: In Christ, according to the purpose of him who accomplishes all things according to the counsel of his will, we who first hoped in Christ have been destined and appointed to live for the praise of his glory. In him you also, who have heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation, and have believed in him, were sealed with the promised Holy Spirit, who is the guarantee of our inheritance until we acquire possession of it, to the praise of his glory." Child of God, you are not an ordinary human being. As long as you believe in Christ Jesus, you are sealed with the Holy Spirit. You shall possess the power of the Holy Spirit. And your life will surely bring glory to God name - Amen!

Wisdom shall visit you

Wisdom is the light of mind. It is the most precious gift of the Holy Spirit. The bible even presents our Lord Jesus Christ as the Wisdom of the Most High God. Wisdom is the best gift anyone can get from God. Considering the importance of wisdom, the author of the book of Wisdom 7:7-11 prayed for the spirit of wisdom: "I prayed, and understanding was given me; I called upon God, and the spirit of wisdom came to me. I preferred her to sceptres and thrones, and I accounted wealth as nothing in comparison with her. Neither did I liken to her any priceless gem, because all gold is but a little sand in her sight, and silver will be accounted as clay before her. I loved her more than health and beauty, and I chose to have her rather than light, because her radiance never ceases. All good things came to me along with her, and in her hands uncounted wealth." Child of God, as you continue to pray the spirit of wisdom will visit you. The Lord will bless you with the spirit of understanding. He will enlighten your mind and it shall be well with you, in Jesus name - Amen!

You are called to be united

There is an adage that says, "United we stand but divided we fall." Unity is the essence of the Trinity. It is also the essence of Christianity. Our Lord Jesus Christ did not just preach the gospel of unity in the gospel of John 17 he went as far as praying for the unity of his follower: "That they may be one!" In his letter to the Ephesians 4:1-7, 11-13 St. Paul appealed to the Ephesians and indeed to all children of God to remain united: "Brethren: I, a prisoner for the Lord, beg you to walk in a manner worthy of the calling to which you have been called, with all lowliness and meekness, with patience, forbearing one another in love, eager to maintain the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called to the one hope that belongs to your call, one Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God and Father of us all, who is above all and through all and in all." Child of God, do you know that children of God are one Body in Christ? Do you even know that we all share in the One Spirit, One Lord, One faith and even one God, who is the Father of all? If this is the case we must be united! As you promote the gospel of unity it shall be well with you in Jesus name - Amen!

Jesus, the Friend of Tax collectors

Our Lord Jesus Christ is the Man of the people and friend of all. He is the Saviour of Heaven and earth. The Master of the universe. When he was in the world he related freely with everybody, both great and small; saints and sinners. While he was relating freely with tax collectors and sinners people were complaining. In the gospel of Luke 7:31-35 Jesus said, “To what then shall I compare the men of this generation, and what are they like? They are like children sitting in the market place and calling to one another, ‘We piped to you, and you did not dance; we wailed, and you did not weep.’ For John the Baptist has come eating no bread and drinking no wine; and you say, ‘He has a demon.’ The Son of man has come eating and drinking; and you say, ‘Behold, a glutton and a drunkard, a friend of tax collectors and sinners!’ Yet wisdom is justified by all her children.” Indeed, our Lord Jesus Christ is the friend of tax collectors and sinners. He even told his followers that he came for the sick and sinners. they are the ones that need him most. He is indeed, the Man of the people and the Saviour of all. To him be glory and praise both now and forevermore - Amen!

You shall not be put to Shame

Today, God has remembered you. he has come to remove the garment of shame from your body. He has come to help you. In Isaiah 50:5-9 the prophet declares, "The Lord God has opened my ear, and I was not rebellious, I turned not backward. I gave my back to those who struck me, and my cheeks to those who pulled out the beard; I hid not my face from shame and spitting. For the Lord God helps me; therefore I have not been confounded; therefore I have set my face like a flint, and I know that I shall not be put to shame" Child of God, as you give your life to God, He will open your ears. He will surely help you. And he will never allow you to be put to shame. And it shall be well with you in Jesus name - Amen!

Look unto Jesus and you shall live!

When the Israelites murmured against God and against her servant, Moses they were bitten by a fiery serpent. But when they repented and cried to the Lord for mercy, the Lord said to Moses, “Make a fiery serpent, and set it up as a standard and everyone who is bitten, when he sees it, shall live. So Moses made a bronze serpent, and set it up as a sign; and if a serpent bit any man, he would look at the bronze serpent and live." The Cross of our Lord Jesus Christ represents this fiery serpent. Child of God, as long as you are connected to Christ Jesus, you will not die of any poisonous disease. You will not be beaten by any poisonous serpent. And as you continue to look unto Jesus you shall surely live and it shall be well with you in Jesus name - Amen!

You are Destined to Judge the World

Most people, especially children of God, don't really know who they are. They don't even know what God has destined for them. That is why they keep limiting themselves. In his first letter to the Corinthians 6:1-11 St. Paul wrote, "Brethren: When one of you has a grievance against a brother, does he dare go to law before the unrighteous instead of the saints? Do you not know that the saints will judge the world? And if the world is to be judged by you, are you incompetent to try trivial cases? Do you not know that we are to judge angels? How much more, matters pertaining to this life! If then you have such cases, why do you lay them before those who are least esteemed by the Church? I say this to your shame." This is worst thing that is happening in the church, among the children of God, today. People take their fellow church members to court, and by so doing they allow people of the world to be judging their matters. This is scandal of the highest order! Child of God, as for you, you are destined to judge the world. Nobody has the right to judge you or even to condemn you. As you present your case to the Lord, He will surely defend you and it shall be well with you in Jesus name - Amen!

As you repent, you will be saved

As you repent, you will be saved
The sin of immorality leads to death! It even separates one from God. In his 1st letter to the Corinthians 5:1-8 St. Paul declares, "Brethren: It is actually reported that there is immorality among you, and of a kind that is not found even among pagans; for a man is living with his father’s wife. And you are arrogant! Ought you not rather to mourn? Let him who has done this be removed from among you. For though absent in body I am present in spirit, and as if present, I have already pronounced judgment in the name of the Lord Jesus on the man who has done such a thing. When you are assembled, and my spirit is present, with the power of our Lord Jesus, you are to deliver this man to Satan for the destruction of the flesh, that his spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord Jesus." Child of God, prevention is better than cure. If you live a holy and righteous life, you have nothing to worry about. The Lord will surely save you from the spirit of immorality and it shall be well with you in Jesus - Amen!

Jesus, the Restorer of Deaf and Dumb

Our Lord Jesus Christ is the greatest Physician the world has ever known. When he was in the world so many people, including deaf and dumb received their healing and restoration. According to the gospel of Mark 7:31-37  "Jesus returned from the region of Tyre, and went through Sidon to the Sea of Galilee, through the region of the Decapolis. And they brought to him a man who was deaf and had an impediment in his speech; and they begged him to lay his hand upon him. And taking him aside from the multitude privately, he put his fingers into his ears, and he spat and touched his tongue; and looking up to heaven, he sighed, and said to him, “Ephphatha,” that is, “Be opened.” And his ears were opened, his tongue was released, and he spoke plainly." This miracle fulfils what the prophet Isaiah said concerning our Lord Jesus Christ in Isaiah Isaiah 35:4-7 that "the eyes of the blind shall be opened, and the ears of the deaf unstopped; then shall the lame man leap like a deer, and the tongue of the mute sing for joy" Child of God, from today, the Lord is restoring your power of speech. He has opened your spiritual eyes. Nobody can silent you! Your voice will be heard throughout the world. Through you God's name will be glorified forever and ever - Amen!

You Belong to Christ

Kindly sing with me: (I am glad, I belong to Jesus I belong to Jesus; I belong to my Lord. I am glad I belong to Jesus, I belong to Jesus, I belong to the Lord)
In his first letter to the Corinthians 3:18-23 St. Paul wrote, "So let no one boast of men. For all things are yours, whether Paul or Apollos or Cephas or the world or life or death or the present or the future, all are yours; and you are Christ’s; and Christ is God’s." Child of God, you don't belong to any idol or shrine, you belong to Christ Jesus. As long as you are connected with our Lord Jesus Christ it shall be well with you in Jesus name - Amen!

Saturday 1 September 2018

You Shall Possess your Possession

Every Child of God is entitled to a land and other divine possessions.  In the book of Deuteronomy 4:1 -2.6-8 the Lord told the Israelites, “Now, O Israel, give heed to the statutes and the ordinances which I teach you, and do them; that you may live, and go in and take possession of the land which the Lord, the God of your fathers, gives you..." Child of God, if you want to possess your own possession you must meet the following requirements in Psalm 15:
1) You must walk without fault
2). You must do what is just.
3) You must speak the truth from your heart
4) You must not slander with your tongue
5) You must do no wrong to your neighbour,
6) You should cast no slur on your friend,
7) You must look with scorn on the wicked,
8) You must honour those who fear the Lord,
9) You need to lend money without interest,
10) and you must accept no bribes against the innocent.
With these requirement you shall never be shaken. You shall possess your possession and it shall be well with you in Jesus name - Amen!

Monday 27 August 2018

YOU MUST STAND FIRM!

Psalm 125:1 declares, They that trust in the Lord are like Mount sion that cannot be shaken.” If you are a child of God you must be firm. Nothing can shake you. In his letter second letter to Thessalonians 2:l-3a, 14-17 St. Paul declares, “Let no one deceive you in any way. God has called you through our gospel, so that you may obtain the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ. So then, brethren, stand firm and hold to the traditions which you were taught by us, either by word of mouth or by letter. Now may our Lord Jesus Christ himself, and God our Father, who loved us and gave us eternal comfort and good hope through grace, comfort your hearts and establish them in every good work and word.” Child of God, do not allow anybody to deceive you or even intimidate you. As St. Paul rightly advised, Stand firm! Hold unto the truth. As you do so, the truth shall set you free and it shall be well with you in Jesus name – Amen!

Saturday 25 August 2018

You have a Choice!

There is freedom of worship, freedom of religion and freedom of association. In the book of Joshua 24:14-17 Joshua said to all the people, “If you be unwilling to serve the Lord, choose this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your fathers served in the region beyond the River, or the gods of the Amorites in whose land you dwell; but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.” Child of God, do you know that you are a free being? Do you know that nobody has the right to force you to serve any god against your will? The best choice one can make in this life is to serve the Living God. As you serve the Living God your life will be secured and it shall be well with you in Jesus name – Amen!

Friday 10 August 2018

You shall Reap Bountifully

When God created Man He wanted Man to be fruitful in all ramification. In the gospel of John 15:8 our Lord Jesus Christ told his followers, "By this my Father is glorified that you bear much fruit." In his second letter to the Corinthians 9:6b-10 St. Paul states the secret of fruitfulness - how we can reap bountifully. According to him, "He who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and he who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully Each one must do as he has made up his mind, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver." Stinginess is the surest path to poverty; whereas generosity paves way to financial breakthrough. The more you sow in the Lord's vineyard the more you will reap abundantly. Through your generosity and fruitfulness God's name will be glorified and it shall be well with you in Jesus name - Amen!

Nobody can put you to death

There were so many attempts to put the prophet Jeremiah to death, especially by the priests and prophets. In Jeremiah 26:11-16, 24 when Jeremiah prophesied concerning the city, the priests and (his fellow) prophets said to the princes and to all the people, “This man deserves the sentence of death, because he has prophesied against this city, as you have heard with your own ears.”Instead of condemning the prophet Jeremiah, the princes and all the people said to the priests and the prophets, “This man does not deserve the sentence of death, for he has spoken to us in the name of the Lord our God.” That was how God delivered Jeremiah from the evil plot of his enemies. Child of God, I may not know those who are planning to destroy you. Even if they are priests or prophets, they will never succeed. God will surely raise people who will defend you. He will not allow the evil ones to put you to death; and it shall be well with you in Jesus name - Amen!

The Lord has Redeemed you from the house of Bondage

Do you know that God has redeemed you? Do you know that you are no longer under bondage? Do you even know that to whom much is given much is expected? In the book of Micah 6:1-4, 6-8 the Lord declares, “O my people, what have I done to you? In what have I wearied you? Answer me! For I brought you up from the land of Egypt, and redeemed you from the house of bondage; and I sent before you Moses, Aaron, and Miriam." Indeed, the Lord has redeemed us from the house of bondage. Since God has saved us from slavery we have a role to play. This same passage declares, " what does the Lord require of you but to do justice, and to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God?" Child of God, as you act justly, love tenderly and walk humbly the Lord will richly bless you and it shall be well with you in Jesus name - Amen!

Your Enemies are in Trouble!

The bible depicts Assyria as one of the enemies of God's children. In the book of Isaiah 10:5-7, 13-16 the Lord declares "Ah, Assyria, the rod of my anger, the staff of my fury! Against a godless nation I send him, and against the people of my wrath I command him, to take spoil and seize plunder, and to tread them down like the mire of the streets...  Therefore the Lord, the Lord of hosts, will send wasting sickness among his stout warriors, and under his glory a burning will be kindled, like the burning of fire." Child of God, all those who are trying to attack you are in trouble. The Lord will attack your enemies as attacked the Assyria. He humiliate them as He humiliated the Egyptians. It shall be well with you in Jesus name - Amen!

Friday 13 July 2018

The Lord shall heal your faithlessness

The Lord told the Israelite through the prophet Hosea 14:1-9 " Return, O Israel, to the Lord your God, for you have stumbled because of your iniquity. Take with you words and return to the Lord; say to him, “Take away all iniquity; accept that which is good and we will render the fruit of our lips. Assyria shall not save us, we will not ride upon horses; and we will say no more, ‘Our God,’ to the work of our hands. In you the orphan finds mercy.” I will heal their faithlessness; I will love them freely, for my anger has turned from them. I will be as the dew to Israel; he shall blossom as the lily, he shall strike root as the poplar, his shoots shall spread out; his beauty shall be like the olive, and his fragrance like Lebanon. They shall return and dwell beneath my shadow, they shall flourish as a garden; they shall blossom as the vine, their fragrance shall be like the wine of Lebanon." Child of God, if you return to the Lord, He will surely heal your faithlessness. You shall flourish like a garden and you shall blossom as the vine. It shall be well with you in Jesus name - Amen!

EXPECTATION OF A TRUE MISSIONARY

In the gospel of Matthew 10:7-15 our Lord Jesus Christ did not say a missionary must be a degree holder, a wealthy man or even a title holder, instead

A TRUE MISSION:
1) must Preach the undiluted message of God's kingdom: “Preach as you go, saying, ‘The kingdom of heaven is at hand.’
2) must Heal the sick,
3) must raise the dead,
4) must cleanse lepers,
5) must cast out demons.
6) must Give freely: "You received without pay, give without pay."
7) must be detached from material things: "Take no gold, nor silver, nor copper in your belts, no bag for your journey, nor two tunics, nor sandals, nor a staff; for the labourer deserves his food."
8) must be self-content: whatever town or village you enter, find out who is worthy in it, and stay with him until you depart.
9) must be agent of Peace: As you enter the house, salute it.
And if the house is worthy, let your peace come upon it; but if it is not worthy, let your peace return to you.
10) must not be arrogant: And if anyone will not receive you or listen to your words, shake off the dust from your feet as you leave that house or town.

Child of God, as long as you are doing these things, you are a true missionary. Through you mission God's name will be glorified and it shall be well with you in Jesus name - Amen!

You shall Reap the Fruit of Mercy

Reward or punishment awaits each and everyone of us. If we commit crime we must face the consequences but if we do good we shall be rewarded. The book of Hosea 10:1-4, 7-8, 12 declares, "Sow for yourselves righteousness, reap the fruit of mercy; break up your fallow ground, for it is the time to seek the Lord, that he may come and rain salvation upon you." Child of God, if you live righteously, you will surely reap the fruit of mercy. If you seek the Lord with all your heart, you must surely find him. He will rain salvation  upon you, and it shall be well with you, in Jesus name - Amen!

Monday 9 July 2018

The Lord Shall Espouse you

The Lord declares through the prophet Hosea 2:14-20, “In that day, says the Lord, you will call me, ‘My husband,’ and no longer will you call me, ‘My Baal.’ “And I will espouse you forever; I will espouse you in righteousness and in justice, in steadfast love, and in mercy. I will espouse you in faithfulness; and you shall know the Lord.” Child of God,  no matter the situation you find yourself even if you are a widow or a single, as long as God is concerned you are not alone. He is the husband of the widow. He is your Companion. He will never leave or forsake you. And it shall be well with you in Jesus name - Amen!

Thursday 5 July 2018

JESUS WILL SURELY LOCATE YOU!

In Matthew 9:9-13 Matthew was in his tax office, his duty post when Jesus saw him. Child of God, wherever you are right now Jesus will surely locate you. Your life will never be the same in Jesus name - Amen!

RISE AND WALK!

In the gospel of Matthew 9:1-8 our Lord Jesus Christ said to the paralyzed man, “Rise, take up your bed and go home.” And he rose and went home." Child of God, it is your turn to rise. It is your turn walk. I see you moving forward! That spirit of paralyses is not for you again! And the yoke of stagnation is hereby broken in Jesus name - Amen!

Sunday 1 July 2018

YOU DESTINED TO LIVE!

Our God is immortal, Invisible and Incorruptible. We, the children of God are created in God's image and likeness. According to the book of Wisdom 1:13-15;2:23-24 "God did not make death, and he does not delight in the death of the living. For he created all things that they might exist, and the creatures of the world are wholesome, and there is no destructive poison in them; and the dominion of Hades is not on earth. For righteousness is immortal. For God created man for incorruption, and made him in the image of his own eternity. but through the devil’s envy death entered the world, and those who belong to his party experience it." Child of God, you are not a party of death; you belong to the party of life. As long as you are in Christ Jesus, you are destined to live. You will not die prematurely. You life is hereby restored in Jesus name! Amen!

The Enemies Shall not invade your Land

Hezekiah received a threat letter from the Sennacherib king of Assyria. After reading the letter, Hezekiah went up to the house of the Lord, and spread it before the Lord.  The Lord responded to his prayer, “Thus says the Lord, the God of Israel: Your prayer to me about Sennacherib king of Assyria I have heard. This is the word that the Lord has spoken concerning him: “She despises you, she scorns you— the virgin daughter of Sion; she wags her head behind you— the daughter of Jerusalem.” “For out of Jerusalem shall go forth a remnant, and out of Mount Sion a band of survivors. The zeal of the Lord will do this. “Therefore thus says the Lord concerning the king of Assyria, He shall not come into this city or shoot an arrow there, or come before it with a shield or cast up a siege mound against it. By the way that he came, by the same he shall return, and he shall not come into this city, says the Lord. For I will defend this city to save it, for my own sake and for the sake of my servant David.” And that night the angel of the Lord went forth, and slew a hundred and eighty-five thousand in the camp of the Assyrians. (2 Kings 19:9b-ll, 14-21, 31-35a, 36). Child of God, do you know that you are the virgin daughter of Sion? As the daughter of Jerusalem no evil shall befall you! The enemies will never invade your land. They will not succeed! he Lord will surely protect you from the hands of your enemies and it shall be well with you in Jesus name - Amen!

Tuesday 19 June 2018

The Lord will expose your enemies

AHAB WAS EXPOSED (Exodus 21:17-29)

When Queen Jezebel conspired against Naboth secretly she thought no one saw her
When Ahab killed Naboth he thought no one saw him
When Ahab collected the only land that belonged to Naboth he thought no one saw him.
But the LORD GOD, the defender of the defenseless, the God that sees all that is done in secret, saw everything that happened to Naboth.
He sent his prophet, Elijah to Ahab with the message: "Have you killed and taken possession? In the place where dogs licked the blood of Naboth shall dogs lick your own blood. Ahab said to Elijah, "Have you found me, o my enemy." Yes, God has found you! That is how God will expose all the Ahabs in your life, your family and even your nation. There is no hiding place for the wicked. All those who are planning against you secretly shall be exposed. Your enemies shall be exposed! Your persecutors shall be exposed!! Even your accusers shall be exposed and it shall be well with you in Jesus name - Amen!

Sunday 10 June 2018

You will never be Homeless again

Our Lord Jesus Christ assured his followers that He is going to prepare a place for them (John 14:1-3) In his second letter to the Corinthians 4:13-5:1 St Paul declares, "Though our outer man is wasting away, our inner man is being renewed every day. For this slight momentary affliction is preparing for us an eternal weight of glory beyond all comparison, because we look not to the things that are seen but to the things that are unseen; for the things that are seen are transient, but the things that are unseen are eternal. For we know that if the earthly tent we live in is destroyed, we have a building from God, a house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens." Child of God, as long as you are in Christ Jesus there is a dwelling place prepared for you. Even if you do not have a place to live in this earthly world, the Lord God is preparing a better place for you in His heavenly kingdom. It shall be well with you in Jesus name - Amen!

Tuesday 5 June 2018

You are a heavenly Citizen

We are not serving God in vain. We are hopeful! A special reward awaits all those who serve God with sincerity and patience. In his second letter St. Peter declares, "Beloved: Wait for and hasten the coming of the day of God, because of which the heavens will be kindled and dissolved, and the elements will melt with fire! But according to his promise we wait for new heavens and a new earth in which righteousness dwells." (2 Peter 3:12-15a,      17-18) A new heaven and a new earth is the special reward for all those who serve God in faithfulness and steadfastness. Child of God, do you know that you are a heavenly citizen? As long as you are working for the Most High God, you will not labour in vain. The Lord God will surely reward you with a new heaven and a new earth. And it shall be well with you in Jesus name - Amen!

Friday 1 June 2018

YOU ARE THE LIGHT OF THE WORLD

Do you know who are you? Do really want to know who you are? You are not what people say you are. You are not even what you thought you are. In God's sight, you are more than what people think or say about you.  In the gospel of Matthew 5:14-16 our Lord Jesus Christ defines your true identity. According to him, "You are the light of the world!" As the light of the world you are like a city built on a hill that cannot be hidden. Nobody can suppress you! God has placed you on a high mountain where everyone can see you. From today, you will start shining anywhere you find yourself. People will see your good work and give glory to your Father in heaven. The world will soon hear about you. Your name will be celebrated all over the world. And it shall be well with you in Jesus name - Amen!!!

Friday 25 May 2018

THE LORD HAS HEARD YOUR CRY

Our God is a God of justice. If not for God the rich and the strong would have swallowed the poor ones alive. The Lord is ever defending the poor and the weak. He is the Voice of the voiceless and the Defender of the defenseless. In James 5:1-6 the Lord God confronts the rich who try to oppress the poor and the weak. The Lord declares, "You have laid up treasure for the last days. Behold, the wages of the labourers who mowed your fields, which you kept back by fraud, cry out; and the cries of the harvesters have reached the ears of the Lord of hosts." Child of God, if you are among those who are oppressing the poor repent now before it is too late. But if you are among those who are been oppressed by the rich and the strong, today the Lord has heard your cry for help. He will surely defend you and He will not allow the wicked to suppress you. And it shall be well with you in Jesus name - Amen!

Tuesday 22 May 2018

The devil will fly away from you

The devil is going about looking for someone to devour. St. James offers a way out.  In his letter, James 4:1-10 he offers the best way to deal with the devil. He wrote, "Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you. Draw near to God and he will draw near to you." If you really want to deal with the devil, the first thing you must do is to submit yourself completely to God, then you must resist the devil. Resisting the devil means saying no to all his trials. And of course, you must make effort to draw near to God. Child of God, if you can submit yourself to God the devil will have no power over you. In fact, as you draw near to God, the devil will fly away from you. He will never come near you. And you will be protected forever in Jesus name - Amen!

PENTECOST OF DIVINE VICTORY

To be victorious is to be triumphant. It simply means to win - to win a game, a battle or a trial. Divine Victory is a glorious conquest. Our Lord Jesus Christ is the Most Victorious Man the world has ever known. He told his followers, "I have said this to you, so that in me you may have peace. In the world you will face persecution. But take courage; I have conquered the world!” (John 16:33). Our Lord Jesus Christ brought victory to the world through his death and resurrection.

Today we are celebrating the victory of our Lord Jesus Christ over Satan, his Victory over sin and condemnation. and of course, victory over sickness and untimely death.  The victory of our Lord Jesus Christ is the essence of our salvation. Without his victory there will be no salvation. With the victory of our Lord Jesus Christ there is hope for us all. We are assured of our own victory!
Hence, in his letter to the Romans, St. Paul declares, "In all these things we have complete victory through him who loved us!" (Romans 8:37). Our victory in Christ Jesus is complete and assured.

This year we have recorded so many victories. We have recorded victory over darkness. We have also recorded victory over economic recession. If the Lord God could sustain the life of hundreds of orphans in this year of economic recession, none of our children died of hunger! This is indeed a special victory! Instead some of our children gained admission into the Universities, Seminaries, those who took WEAC and JAMB examination got their papers with admission. A good number of those who are mentally sick have recovered and are now discharged. Our pig gave birth to five piglets. In a nutshell, God is great!

The peak of this victory is my reconciliation with the Discalced Carmelite Order, which the enemies thought it was impossible. When Jesus says yes, nobody can say no! Above all, we are celebrating our victory over satanic powers and manipulations. Child of God, as we celebrate this year's Pentecost of Divine Victory, you will be victorious all the days of your life and it shall be well with you in Jesus name - Amen!

Happy Pentecost celebration
From your Most Humble Servant
Rev. Fr. John Damian Adizie of the Holy Spirit, OCD

Be filled with the Holy Spirit

Today is the long awaited day. On this day the Lord God will fulfill his promise to you. It is a day when you shall receive the gift and the power of the Holy Spirit. "When the day of Pentecost had come, they were all together in one place. And suddenly a sound came from heaven like the rush of a mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting. And there appeared to them tongues as of fire, distributed and resting on each one of them. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance." (Acts 2:1-4) Child of God, as you celebrate the feast of Pentecost today, the Lord God will fill you with His Holy Spirit. He will loosen your tongues. He will decorate you with the gifts of the Holy Spirit. You shall become powerful in the Lord; and it shall be well with you in Jesus name - Amen!

You will not remain a Prisoner forever

A prisoner is someone who is under constraint - someone whose freedom is restricted or completely denied. The worst thing that can happen any prisoner is to be abandoned in prison without any charge or any hearing. In Acts 25:13b-21 Felix abandoned Paul in the prison hoping that he will rot in jail.  When the appointed time came, Festus laid Paul’s case before Agrippa the king and Bernice, saying, “There is a man left prisoner by Felix; and when I was at Jerusalem, the chief priests and the elders of the Jews gave information about him, asking for sentence against him. I answered them that it was not the custom of the Romans to give up any one before the accused met the accusers face to face, and had opportunity to make his defence concerning the charge laid against him." With this, Paul was granted the long expected freedom. He was allowed to preach the gospel without any restriction. Child of God, do you know that your period of bondage is over? As long as our Lord Jesus Christ is concerned, you will not remain a prisoner forever. The Lord will surely visit your case file. He will not just allow you to defend yourself He will also set you free from every bondage and it shall be well with you in Jesus name - Amen!

Christology: Jesus, the Most Caring Shepherd

A Good Shepherd is a caring shepherd. He does not leave his sheep unattended. He cannot even travel out without making arrangement for the well-being of his flock. That was exactly what happened before our Lord Jesus Christ ascended into heaven. He handed his flock to Peter and the rest of the Apostles. In the gospel of John 21:15-19 Jesus asked Peter "Simon, son of John, do you love me more than these?” He said to him, “Yes, Lord; you know that I love you.” He said to him, “Feed my lambs.” A second time he said to him, “Simon, son of John, do you love me?” He said to him, “Yes, Lord; you know that I love you.” He said to him, “Tend my sheep.” He said to him the third time, “Simon, son of John, do you love me?”...And he said to him, “Lord, you know everything; you know that I love you.” Jesus said to him, “Feed my sheep." With this gesture our Lord Jesus Christ proved to Peter and the people of the world that He is the most caring Shepherd the world has ever known. He will never abandon or forsake us, his flock. To him be glory and praise both now and forevermore - Amen!

Inspirational Message: Jesus is the Most caring Shepherd the world has ever known. He does not leave his sheep unattended.

Prayer for Caring Shepherd: Heavenly Father, your Son our Lord Jesus Christ is the Most caring Shepherd the world has ever known. He is the Good Shepherd who does not leave His sheep unattended. Lord, we have so many selfish and self-centered shepherds in our world today. Some of these shepherds are feeding on their sheep while many others have abandon your flock to die of hunger and spiritual care. Lord, bless our world with loving and caring shepherds. grant this through Christ our Lord - Amen!

Be Courageous!

To be courageous is to be brave. It has to  do with boldness - to live without fear. A courageous man is a free man. He has nothing to do with fear and nothing to worry about. In Acts of the Apostles 23:6-11 the Lord God appeared to Paul and advised him to be courageous. "The following night the Lord stood by him and said, “Take courage, for as you have testified about me at Jerusalem, so you must bear witness also at Rome.” This is a divine encouragement! With these words of encouragement, Paul was strengthened in his mission. He knew hat he was not alone. Child of God, the Lord has come to encourage you. He has come to deliver you from the spirit of fear and from the hands of your enemies. As long as God is on your side, nobody can stop you! Nothing shall ever discourage you. You will surely succeed and it shall be well with you - in Jesus name - Amen!

Christology: Jesus, the universal Messiah

One common mistake people often make is to think that Jesus is Messiah only to the Christians. He is the universal Messiah. He is Messiah even unto those who do not believe in him. Jesus himself was aware of this and that is why when he prayed he did not just pray for his followers, instead he said, “I do not pray for these only, but also for those who believe in me through their word, that they may all be one; even as you, Father, are in me, and I in you, that they also may be in us, so that the world may believe that you have sent me. The glory which you have given me I have given to them, that they may be one even as we are one,
I in them and you in me, that they may become perfectly one, so that the world may know that you have sent me and have loved them even as you have loved me." Jesus prayed for the unity of his future believers and for the world as a whole. By so doing he proved to the world that He is indeed the Universal Messiah. One day, the whole will acknowledge him as their Messiah. To him be glory and praise both now and forevermore - Amen!

Inspirational Message:  Jesus Christ is not just a Messiah for particular sets of people. He is Messiah for the whole world. He is indeed our universal Messiah.

Prayer for the unity of the entire world: Heavenly Father, your Son our Lord Jesus Christ, did not just pray for the unity of his followers He also prayed for the unity of the whole world. Lord, deliver our world from discriminations and disunity. Make us one as you are one. Grant this through Christ our Lord - Amen!

You shall be a Giver and not a Borrower

Giving is indeed a noble experience. Lucky Dube, a famous South African reggae musician once sang, "Blessed is the hand that giveth Than the one that taketh." Far back before Lucky Dube sang this song St. Paul had already declared in Acts 20:35-36, "In all things I have shown you that by so toiling one must help the weak, remembering the words of the Lord Jesus Christ, ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.”’ Lucky Dube must have been inspired by these divine words. Whether we view it from Scriptural point of view or even from secular point, it is better to give than to receive. A giver is the Boss! Child of God, you are born to give. As long as our Lord Jesus Christ is concerned you will be a giver and not a borrower. You shall become a channel of blessing to your generation; and it shall be well with you, in Jesus name - Amen!

Christology: The Most Prayerful Son of God

Our Lord Jesus Christ was a prayerful Man. When He was in the world He spent most of his time praying to God, His Father. In the gospel of John   17:llb-19, he prayed for unity of his followers: “Holy Father, keep them in your name, which you have given me, that they may be one, even as we are one." With this prayer of Lord Jesus Christ, the Lord od will surely keep us united.  He further prayed for the protection of his followers: "I do not pray that you should take them out of the world,
but that you should keep them from the evil one." May God protect us from the evil one! He also prayed for our sanctification: "Sanctify them in the truth; your word is truth." Through God's word may the Lord sanctify each and everyone of us in His truth, through Christ our Lord - Amen!

Inspirational Message: Jesus Christ did not just pray for his selfish interest. He prayed for the unity of his followers, for their protection and sanctification.

Prayer for Divine sanctification: Heavenly Father, you Son, our Lord Jesus Christ, prayed for our sanctification when he prayed, "Sanctify them in the truth; your word is truth." Lord, we need this sanctification! In your mercy, sanctify us with your truth and may we live a truthful life through Christ our Lord - Amen!

Family is the best

Family is the foundation of every nation. Without the family there will be no
Church or religion. Religion and even culture is made up of people from different families. To neglect the family therefore is to neglect the nation. East or West the family remains the best!

CHRISTIAN FAMILIES ORGANISATION MARKS INT'L DAY OF FAMILIES

Today, May 15 is Int'l Day of the Family. Members of Christian Families Organisation came together to celebrate this unique and special celebration.
Christian Families Organisation was founded by Rev. Fr. John Damian Adizie and Ezinne Nneoma Charity Onuoha (Mother of Faith)  on December 12, 2012 at the catholic Adoration of the Holy Spirit, Maryland Egoro Amede, Ekpoma, Edo State of Nigeria. It is an association of Married Couples.

This Organisation was established  to cater for the needs and well-being of families, especially married couples. The organisations tries to address some of the existential challenges facing the families. It is open to all legally married men and women who really want their marriage to succeed. We meet every first Sunday of the Month at Maryland Egoro Amede, Ekpoma Edo State of Nigeria at 10 am. Married couples use this medium to renew their marital vows. They share their challenges and success stories, thereby encouraging one another. By their uniform and wedding rings you shall know them!

During the annual celebration,  the founder and spiritual Director, Rev. Fr. John Damian Adizie, used the medium to appreciate all the couples who are still maintaining their vows and commitment. He called on the government and other agencies to carry the family along in all their policies and this is in line with this year's theme of International Day of Families, which is Families and inclusive societies.

The high point of the event was the renewal and exchange of marriage ring by all the couples present.

Christology: Jesus, the glorified Son of Christ

glory is a splendid and marvelous experience. It is a divine honour and in fact the highest honour anyone can get from God. In the gospel of John        17:l-11 our Lord Jesus Christ prayed for his glorification: “Father, the hour has come; glorify your Son that the Son may glorify you, since you have given him power over all flesh, to give eternal life to all whom you have given him. And this is eternal life, that they know you the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom you have sent. I glorified you on earth, having accomplished the work which you gave me to do; and now, Father, glorify me in your own presence with the glory which I had with you before the world was made." From this passage you can see that glory is a give and take attribute. As Jesus was praying for his own glorification He was also reminding God that He has glorified His name here on earth. He did this by accomplishing the work the Lord God entrusted into his hands. In our case, whenever we do the will of God we are glorifying His name. Our lives, our deeds and even our faith must bring glory to God. As God is glorified we ourselves will definitely share in God's glory. May God's name be glorified in our lives both now and forevermore - Amen!

Inspirational Prayer:  Jesus was glorified through the glorification of His Father. If we glorify God, He will surely glorify us.

Prayer for Divine glorification
Heavenly Father, your Son, our Lord Jesus Christ glorified your name while He was in this world. You glorified him by giving him the name that is above every other names. And He assured us that as we acknowledge him here on earth He will acknowledge us before you, his Father. As we glorify his name, He will also glorify our names. Lord, give us the grace to share in this divine glorification, so that your name will be glorified both now and forevermore - Amen!

You are Divinely Chosen

To be chosen either by God or even by human beings is a special favour. No all those who apply for admission are admitted. Not all those who aspire for position are elected. Not all those who apply for admission into priesthood or ministerial services are chosen. Many are called but few are chosen. This was exactly the case among the early apostles in Acts  l:15-26 when they wanted to replace Judas, "...they put forward two, Joseph called Barsabbas, who was surnamed Justus, and Matthias. And they prayed and said, “Lord, who knowest the hearts of all men, show which one of these two you have chosen to take the place in this ministry and apostleship from which Judas turned aside, to go to his own place.” And they cast lots for them, and the lot fell on Matthias; and he was enrolled with the eleven apostles." Child of God, do you know that you are among the few chosen ones? Indeed, you are lucky to be chosen by the Most High God. As long as God has chosen you, you are blessed and it shall be well with you in Jesus name - Amen!

UNION WITH GOD (ACCORDING TO ST. THERESA OF AVILA)

Union with God (St. Teresa of Avila)
In the gospel of John chapter 17 our Lord Jesus Christ prayed for the unity of his followers: “Holy Father, keep them in your name, which you have given me, that they may be one, even as we are one." How is Jesus united with his Father? What is the essence of this Divine Union?

In her famous Interior Castle our Holy Mother, St. Teresa of Avila describes this divine union as "Spiritual Betrothal (Marriage). Using the image of a candle she tries to describe the nature of this divine union. "... Let us say that the union is like the joining of two wax of candles to such an extent that the flame coming from them is but one, or that the wick, the flame and the wax are all one." - Interior Castle VII:2,p4. The flame that comes out of two or three candles are usually one and it very difficult, if not impossible to separate the flame from each other. One cannot even separate the smoke that comes out of the two candles. That is what happens when one is united with God, especially in contemplative prayer.

Anther image St. Teresa used to describe the nature of this divine union is the image of rain water and river water. According to her "In spiritual marriage the union is like what we have when rain falls from the sky into a river or fount; all is water, for the rain that fell from heaven cannot be divided or separated from the water of the river." To make it more interesting, we can as well add a borehole water to the rain and river water. Now, after mixing the three different sources of water, can one easily separate them? When they are all joined together, you will hardly know which one is rain water and which is borehole or even water from the river. This is what divine union is all about. When we are united with God in contemplative prayer, we become one with God; when this happens nothing and nobody can separate us from God. That is exactly what our Lord Jesus Christ meant when He prayer: "...that they may be one, even as we are one." May God keep us united with him and for him through Christ our Lord - Amen!

Unity among God's Children

Christology: Jesus, the prayerful Son of God
When Jesus Christ was in the world He was so prayerful that prayer was more-or-less like food to him. He could not stay without praying. He was always communicating to God, His Father through prayer. In the gospel of John 17: lib-19 our Lord Jesus Christ offered his priestly prayer: "At that time: [Lifting up his eyes to heaven, Jesus prayed, saying,] “Holy Father, keep them in your name, which you have given me, that they may be one, even as we are one. While I was with them, I kept them in your name, which you have given me; I have guarded them, and none of them is lost but the son of perdition, that the Scripture might be fulfilled. But now I am coming to you; and these things I speak in the world, that they may have my joy fulfilled in themselves."
This is the most powerful prayer in the bible. In this prayer our Lord Jesus Christ was not just praying for his selfish interest. He prayed for the interest and well-being of his followers. He actually prayed for the unity of his followers - that they may be one!
With this prayer our Lord Jesus Christ has taught us the importance of intercessory prayer. In prayer we must not just pray for our selfish interest but also for the wellbeing of others.
This prayer for unity is the only solution to all the problems we are facing in our world today. The world is facing all kinds of discrimination and disunity. We have political discrimination, cultural and tribal discrimination, worst of them all is religious discrimination. Even the Christians are not united! There is division and discrimination among the various denominations in the Christendom. Have you ever imagined how this world be if all the Christians are united! Like the early apostles, nobody will lack anything. The world will be a wonderful place! That is the reason why we must take this prayer of our Lord Jesus Christ seriously. May God deliver us from all forms of divisions and discrimination through Christ our Lord - Amen!

Inspirational Message:  One can only give what He has. Jesus was able to pray for the unity of his followers because He enjoyed unity with God, his Father and God the Holy Spirit.

·        Children of God can only succeed when they are united

Prayer for the unity of God's Children: Heavenly Father, King of heaven and earth, the Creator that was not created. Everybody and everything in this world were created by you.  Lord,  our world is in a mess due to disunity and discrimination.  You are the only One that can unite our broken world and broken relationships. Lord, make us one as you are one and may we remain united in you both now and forevermore - Amen!

Prophetic Message:  You are Divinely Chosen
To be chosen either by God or even by human beings is a special favour. No all those who apply for admission are admitted. Not all those who aspire for position are elected. Not all those who apply for admission into priesthood or ministerial services are chosen. Many are called but few are chosen. This was exactly the case among the early apostles in Acts  l:15-26when they wanted to replace Judas, "...they put forward two, Joseph called Barsabbas, who was sumamed Justus, and Matthias. Child of God, do you know that you are among the few chosen ones? Indeed, you are lucky to be chosen by the Most High God. As long as God has chosen you, you are blessed and it shall be well with you in Jesus name - Amen!
