Jesus, the Friend of Tax collectors

Our Lord Jesus Christ is the Man of the people and friend of all. He is the Saviour of Heaven and earth. The Master of the universe. When he was in the world he related freely with everybody, both great and small; saints and sinners. While he was relating freely with tax collectors and sinners people were complaining. In the gospel of Luke 7:31-35 Jesus said, “To what then shall I compare the men of this generation, and what are they like? They are like children sitting in the market place and calling to one another, ‘We piped to you, and you did not dance; we wailed, and you did not weep.’ For John the Baptist has come eating no bread and drinking no wine; and you say, ‘He has a demon.’ The Son of man has come eating and drinking; and you say, ‘Behold, a glutton and a drunkard, a friend of tax collectors and sinners!’ Yet wisdom is justified by all her children.” Indeed, our Lord Jesus Christ is the friend of tax collectors and sinners. He even told his followers that he came for the sick and sinners. they are the ones that need him most. He is indeed, the Man of the people and the Saviour of all. To him be glory and praise both now and forevermore - Amen!
