Celebration of Christ: Jesus, the Merciful Messiah

Today is the Sunday of Divine Mercy. It is the Sunday when we celebrate the dividends of Easter. Today, we are reaping the fruit of the resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ.  As Peter rightly preached after the resurrection of Christ, God raised Jesus from the dead so that through him repentance and forgiveness will be preached all over the world. That is exactly what we are celebrating today! In the gospel of John 20:19-31 Jesus came and stood among his disciples and He said to them, “Peace be with you... And when he had said this, he breathed on them, and said to them, “Receive the Holy Spirit. If you forgive the sins of any, they are forgiven; if you retain the sins of any, they are retained.” The authority to forgive sin was actually given to the apostles on this very day. From that very moment the disciples of our Lord Jesus Christ started liberating people from the bondage of sin. They were doing exactly what their Master, our Lord Jesus Christ did when He was in the world. Satan could no longer hold any charge against the children of God just because of their sins.
Child of God, with this same authority and as an ordained minister I declare you free from all your sins and cancel every satanic charges against you, in the name of God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit - Amen!

Inspirational Message: The authority to forgive sin remains the highest authority on earth. This authority was handed over to the disciples by our Lord Jesus Christ.

Prayer for the Forgiveness of sin: Merciful Father, your Son, our Lord Jesus Christ, is the Divine Mercy Incarnate. Through your Divine Mercy so many people have gained their liberation from the bondage of sin. Lord, in your mercy deliver me and my fellow sinners from the bondage of sin. Do not allow the devil to hold any charge against me or against any of your children. Grant this through Christ our Lord - Amen!
